The Board of Directors of The Canadian Medical Hall of Fame (CMHF) is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Board Chair, Dr. Cecil H. Rorabeck, Professor (Emeritus) of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario. Dr. Rorabeck succeeds Dr. Carol Herbert who will remain on the Board as Past Chair.
With six years of experience on the CMHF Board, Dr. Rorabeck leads a team of 16 prominent health and business professionals from across Canada – a group dedicated to future medical excellence through the celebration of Canada’s medical heroes.
Among his many accomplishments, Dr. Rorabeck recently served as interim CEO and Scientific Director to the Robarts Research Institute overseeing its merger and consolidation with the University of Western Ontario.
In addition to his commitment to the Hall of Fame, Dr. Rorabeck is an active Board member of the London Economic Development, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. He is Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery (American).
