Dr. Bernard Belleau
Inducted in 2000
Over a long and productive scientific career in biochemistry at University of Ottawa and McGill University in Montreal, Dr. Belleau carried out fundamental research on the chemistry of several groups of drugs effective in combatting infections and cancer.
Dr. G. Malcolm Brown
Inducted in 2000
After teaching on the Faculty of Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Dr. Brown served from 1956 to 1958 as President of the Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons in Toronto, and from 1962 to 1964 as President of the national governing body of Canadian medical specialists in Ottawa, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
Dr. John Evans
Inducted in 2000
Dr. Evans headed a team of young enthusiasts who in 1965 began to plan a revolutionary medical curriculum for the new Medical Faculty to be founded at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.
Dr. Jack Hirsh
Inducted in 2000
Dr. Hirsh has combined an active laboratory search for new and more effective anti-clotting drugs (low molecular-weight heparins) with a wide-ranging clinical study of their effectiveness.
Dr. Leonora King

After graduating with her M.D., Dr. King spent almost fifty years as a Methodist missionary doctor in the northern Chinese province of Chihli.
Dr. David Sackett
Inducted in 2000
As the founder of Canada’s first department of clinical epidemiology at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario in 1967, Dr. Sackett has made significant contributions to how we measure the presence of diseases in populations, and in particular how we assess the effectiveness of various forms of treatment.
