Approximately 300 students in grades 10 and 11 from Waterloo and surrounding areas will have an opportunity to explore careers in the health sciences. Participants will hear an inspiring keynote lecture (Dr. Stephen Scherer, The Hospital for Sick Kids), take part in interactive workshops and join in discussion with a panel of health care professionals and academics.
Are you an interested health care professional or academic?
Those wishing to share their passion and enthusiasm for their chosen careers or fields of study by coordinating an interactive workshop (approximately 1.5 hours in length) and/or joining a career panel discussion (approximately 1 hour in length) are asked to complete the appropriate webform below or to complete and return the applicable form found below under DOCUMENTS YOU CAN DOWNLOAD AND PRINT. You will find our event day agenda there as well, which indicates workshop and career panel times.
Whether you’re new to the program and want some ideas for a workshop or curious about what's happening this year - check out our 2011 Workshop Catalogue!
Are you an interested high school student or teacher?
This event is open to any high school student in grades 10 and 11. To aid communications, we ask that students register through their high school. A contact teacher must first register the school using the "School Registration Form" found under LINKS TO OUR WEBFORMS below. Once our system has advised us of your school's registration, we will send an email to the contact teacher with further details for students to register online. The contact teacher should call us at 519-488-2003 if an email is not received within two business days of the online submission. If you are an interested student but can't find a teacher to act as a contact for your school, please call us at the number above or email Trish at tgrover [at] cdnmedhall [dot] org.
Students are still required to submit a completed "Student Consent/Media Release Form", found below under DOCUMENTS YOU CAN DOWNLOAD AND PRINT, to finalize their registration.
Teachers are not required to attend, but are most welcome to do so if they wish. Because teachers are assigned to workshops over and above the student capacity set by the workshop presenters, we ask that teachers continue to register manually using the "Teacher Registration Form" found below under DOCUMENTS YOU CAN DOWNLOAD AND PRINT.
All printed forms are to be faxed to The Canadian Medical Hall of Fame: 519-488-2999.
