Mira is a third year medical student at the University of Manitoba. She completed her Bachelor of Science (Major) at the University of Manitoba. Mira was appointed by the Canadian Federation of Medical Students to represent the medical student body as the CFMS Liaison with the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame.
Mira is passionate about student advocacy and currently sits as the Senator for the Manitoba Medical Students’ Association. She also holds a position on the Filipino Association of Medical Students and is passionate about increasing equity, diversity, and inclusion in medicine. She is also involved with class council, undergraduate clerkship committees, and mentorship programs. Mira is excited to be involved with recognizing Canadian heroes who have made significant contributions to the health sciences, and delivering educational programs to our youth.
