SIX OUTSTANDING CANADIAN LEADERS IN HEALTH JOIN CANADA’S MEDICAL HALL OF FAME

Vancouver, BC – On Saturday, April 13, the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame (CMHF) induct six new Laureates whose leadership, integrity and contributions to medicine and health leadership have led to extraordinary improvements in human health. Their outstanding accomplishments range from co-founding more than eleven biotech companies and non-profit enterprises to determining women’s risk for HIV in Canada; these trailblazers underpin Canada’s role as a world-class leader in medicine and health science.

Erica Johnson, Senior Investigative Reporter of Go Public on CBC News, will serve as the Master of Ceremonies. The 2024 Induction Ceremony is presented by the Canadian Medical Association (CMA), MD Financial Management (MD) and Scotiabank who together are committed to supporting the medical profession and advancing health in Canada. As proof of this commitment, and in collaboration with the CMA and MD, Scotiabank is investing $115 million to support physicians and the communities they serve across Canada.
