"Giving the keynote address at the Western Discovery Day as a CMHF Award Recipient was an opportunity to reflect on my journey and try to distill down what lessons I had learned," says Dr. Apramian.
Evolving Passion for Medicine
Since joining the faculty at the University of Toronto, Dr. Apramian’s passion has become more focused: "Sinking deeply into a specific kind of problem faced by patients has been very inspiring, as there is always more to learn, even in areas with a narrow clinical focus."

The award prompted reflection beyond his immediate clinical and research interests: "Receiving the award led me to reflect on lessons I had learned that might be applicable outside my area of clinical and research interest."
